Aisling trained to be a secondary English teacher with Teach First which meant that her first year of teaching was completed while undertaking her PGCE. After two years teaching English to KS3 as well as English Literature A-Level, Aisling moved to William Perkin High School. While at William Perkin she was appointed as Literacy Coordinator, a role she relished as she believes impeccable literacy to be key to academic success. This passion led her to become involved in borough-wide Literacy training where she delivered training to teachers from a range of disciplines.
Outside of school Aisling has a love of cooking and eating and enjoys trying foods from far and wide. She is also a keen runner and has competed in half marathons in London.
