Andrew completed his degree in Psychology and Education in July 2007 and decided to continue in education for an additional year. He went on to the University of Chester and completed his PGCE a year later. On completion of the course he was offered the opportunity to teach in the school where he had been a student. This school was called West Bridgford Infant School. He then covered various maternity leaves and taught at two other schools before securing a permanent role in September 2011.
At his previous school Andrew became the ICT Co-ordinator, the teacher representative on the governing body, and the Staff Co-ordinator for the PTA. He joined Dulwich College (Singapore) in August 2015.
