Lorna began her teaching career during her Geography degree, working for VSO (Voluntary Service Overseas) for a year, teaching and completing her dissertation in Madagascar. After completing her teaching qualification, she worked in a primary school in London for 4 years, with leadership responsibility for Music and Geography as well as organising Performing Arts projects within school with outside agencies.
Lorna then moved abroad to take up teaching positions in Kuala Lumpur and Cairo in large international schools. During this time she taught across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, was a Year Group Leader for Year 4 and Year 6, as well as an IPC Coordinator, responsible for implementing a new curriculum across both key stages.
Lorna joined Dulwich College (Singapore) in September 2016 teaching Year 1 and now Year 2. She is DUCKS Head of Houses, responsible for organising a range of House events across all year groups.
Lorna lives in Singapore with her husband, a Music Teacher at the College, and her two young children. In her spare time, she enjoys reading and making the most of everything that Singapore has to offer with her family, as well as learning to dance Ceroc and travelling abroad to explore new places.
