Eligibility

Entry Requirements for Admission

To ensure an environment of confident, happy students who are fully able to access the breadth of opportunity available to them, all applicants to Dulwich College (Singapore) must meet the following entry requirements to be considered eligible for admission. This is in addition to meeting our assessment and immigration requirements.

1) English Language Proficiency

  • Students should have at least one parent who is a fluent or native English language speaker. This is important to ensure effective communication between College and home.
  • All lessons are taught in English. Applicants must therefore have an age-appropriate fluency in English (speaking, reading, writing and comprehension) that enables them to access the curriculum.
  • It is expected that students communicate together in English as the common language.

Please contact our Admissions team if you are unsure whether you or your child’s level of English meets the requirement for selection.

2) Community Engagement

  • Students should demonstate their enthusiasm to contribute to the Dulwich College (Singapore) community, including full involvement in the academic and co-curricular opportunities available to them.

3) Guardianship and Boarding Requirements

  • All students enrolled at Dulwich College (Singapore) are required to reside full-time with a parent for the duration of their enrolment at the College.
  • In exceptional circumstances, students may live with a guardian; however, this arrangement must receive prior approval from the Head of School. Please note that we do not accept employed legal guardians or students living in dormitory-style accommodation.
  • For students in Years 12 and 13 who are unable to live with a parent or approved guardian, an authorised boarding facility is available.
  • Dulwich College (Singapore) reserves the right to withdraw a student’s enrolment if they are found not to be in compliance with our residency requirements.
