Relevant Experience
Having taught in Singapore in the 1990s, Sarah returned to Singapore to take up the role of Head of DUCKS at Dulwich College (Singapore) in August 2024.
Sarah has been a primary school teacher for 32 years and a Headteacher within the British independent sector for 16 years. She is an inspector for the Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI) and most recently has also been Director of Prep Education for the Effingham Schools Trust.
Sarah is passionate about early years education and helping children to realise their true potential, both academically and socially. Having spent some years working in Germany and Switzerland, she understands the benefit of learning a language at a young age and is excited to be part of a school which has such a fantastic dual language programme. Music is another one of her loves and, as a former Director of Music, Sarah is keen to get involved with the wonderful Music Department at Dulwich College to join them in nurturing a love of music in all children, staff and parents.
Sarah is joined in Singapore by her husband Simon and has two grown-up daughters. In her free time she enjoys reading, travelling, ballroom and Latin dancing, trips to the theatre, scrapbooking and walking.
