- Exclusive Screening of 'Children of Shanghai' Documentary

Dulwich College (Singapore) was honoured to host the exclusive screening of the inspiring documentary Children of Shanghai, co-organised by Care for Children and the British Chamber of Commerce Singapore (BritCham). This captivating film, narrated by British television presenter Bear Grylls, unravelled the remarkable journey of Care for Children's Founder and Executive Director, Dr Robert Glover OBE, along with his family, as they embarked on a mission to establish the charity that pioneered China's very first foster care program nearly 25 years ago.

The screening of this documentary was followed by a heartfelt and enlightening Q&A session featuring Robert himself, alongside producer Matthew Gao, and Co-Founders of Education in Motion, Fraser White and Karen Yung. Robert candidly shared with the audience, the myriad of challenges and triumphs he encountered while trying to create change. The audience, utterly captivated by the film's spirit and Robert's unwavering dedication, eagerly posed insightful questions, with some expressing their sincere interest in becoming part of Care for Children's noble efforts.

Adding to the evening's events, guests were also able to purchase Robert's book, 'As Many As The Stars.' The book outlines a detailed account of Robert and his wife Elizabeth's roles in how they helped evolve government policies concerning child welfare. Those who bought a copy were treated to a personal signing session with Robert, offering them a few minutes of one-on-one conversation.
