Celebrating the Dulwich Spirit at Founder's Day 2026

Every year, Founder’s Day offers our community a moment to get together and celebrate what it means to be part of the Dulwich family, with each campus celebrating in its own unmistakable character and local flavour.

In the lead-up, there was Founder’s Fortnight, two weeks of activities centred around a shared theme. This year’s theme, Connect Worldwise, invited every member of the community to reflect on what it means to connect with each other, our world, and the future.

As Saturday approached, anticipation grew. We experienced torrential rain every day that week...then, as if on cue, Saturday arrived with bright skies and warm breeze. It felt like a gift, and our community repaid it in full.

A Day of Activity

The day began with the College Open Swimming Championships, where student athletes from Junior and Senior Schools competed for top honours. As more of the community trickled in, the campus came alive with performances by our talented student and staff bands, alongside dynamic CCA showcases. We were excited to spotlight charities at the Community Corner this year, highlighting the College’s ongoing commitment to service and responsible global citizenship. And, of course, no Founder’s Day would be complete without the much-loved carnival favourites, from inflatables and games to face painting and a lively food street offering enjoyed by all.

Bringing Legacy to Life

There is one image that will stay with us. As evening fell, over 4,500 people stood together, bathed in the soft light of a perfect Singapore sunset, singing “Sweet Caroline” as balloons fell from the sky.

Founder’s Day, at its heart, is a celebration of what matters most: knowing every child as an individual and building a community where every family feels belonged. While Dulwich may be part of a global family with a proud and enduring legacy, what makes this day special is seeing how that legacy is lived in the present.

On Saturday 13 June 2026, that spirit was reflected across our community.

The People Behind the Moments

Hear from our Events Department, who worked tirelessly to deliver the College’s biggest day of the year:

“Planning Founder’s Day is incredibly rewarding but no small feat, especially for a team of three bringing together so many moving parts and people! It is a powerful reminder of what we can create when we come together as a community.”

– Cassandra, Events Manager

“My second Founder’s Day with the College and there is always something new to look forward to. Glad we got to try something new for the Main Stage this year, to more events connecting the community together!”

– Jolee, Events Officer

“Nearly eight months of planning go into the details most people will never notice, and that is exactly how it should be. Seeing it all come to life, watching people simply feel safe and happy, that is when we know we got it right. Until the next!”

– Jody, Head of Marketing and Events
