Celebrating Outstanding University Offers – Class of 2023
Today is Graduation Day at the College, and it has been an emotional one for our parents and staff to watch this group take their last day at school before embarking on their future in the real world.
The Class of ‘23 have been a stoic group, handling the limitations the Covid years threw at them but taking full advantage of the opportunities offered as the restrictions dropped off. Thanks to their hard work, drive and determination the cohort has received an incredible variety of offers from the world’s leading institutions. Adding to the already impressive list of offers received early this year, including three from the University of Cambridge (Law, History and Engineering), one from the University of Oxford to study Law, and many more from the leading institutions in the UK, in the USA and around the world. (See tables below); more recent offers have been received from the Class of 2023 – Cornell University, University of California, Berkeley, UCLA, Imperial College, King’s College London and Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance.
As with any large group of individuals, passions and strengths are diverse, and this is reflected in the vast array of courses that our students will go on to study. From Medicine, Engineering, Law, History, Psychology, Philosophy, Politics and Economics to International Relations, Business Studies, Sociology, Urban Planning, Global Sustainable Development and Environmental Science. In addition, our provision of the Ignite! Exceptional Performance Development Programme for Sport, Music and Performing Arts, has opened doors for our students who want to turn their passion into a career. Significant offers in the Creative Industries have come from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance for Musical Theatre, The Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts, California College of the Arts and Massachusetts College of Art and Design for Fashion Design. In Sports, offers have come from Ursinus College – Liberal Arts and Sciences, Carnegie Mellon University – Tepper School of Business.
These offers should provide our students with a sense of accomplishment and a head start in planning their future. As our fourth graduating IB year group prepares to embark on the next chapter of their academic journey, the College wishes them the best of luck as they pursue their passions and goals at renowned universities across the globe.
