Student Equipment

Equipment

Senior School students are expected to come to school prepared for the school day. They are responsible for their own personal organisation.

Daily Equipment

As well as any books and other materials needed for learning, students should bring the following equipment to school each day:

  • Pens, pencils and other stationery in a pencil case

  • Mathematical geometry set containing pencil, ruler, protractor and compass

  • A scientific calculator (natural display) – recommended model: Casio fx-991ES PLUS

  • iPad or laptop, fully charged

  • Headphones or equivalent

  • A refillable water bottle

All items should be clearly labelled. Students are expected to look after their own belongings and take responsibility for their care and safe keeping.

Mobile phones

We understand that many students own mobile phones and other personal electronic devices. Students who bring their mobile phones or other devices to school should ensure that they are switched off and kept in their bag or locker at all times from 8.00am to 3.35pm. The only exception to this rule is if they have been given permission to use their phone as a learning tool in a specific lesson.

Students who are seen to be using a mobile phone or other personal electronic device in an unauthorized manner can expect to have their device confiscated.

In the first instance, the device will be handed to Senior School Reception for collection at the end of the day. Repeated misuse of a mobile phone or other device may lead to an escalation of consequences.
