Relevant Experience

Ian joined Dulwich College (Singapore) in August 2016. He has nine years of secondary school teaching experience, having worked at both Bradford Grammar School and Ripon Grammar School. Ian has taught Physics and Electronics to A-Level. Ian has also held additional responsibilities as Head of Careers at Bradford Grammar School and Engineering Co-ordinator in Science at Ripon Grammar School. He has an Engineering background both from time spent in engineering consultancy and as an engineering Officer in the British Army.

Ian enjoys his involvement with school sport and outdoor education. At Bradford Grammar School he led a senior rugby tour to South Africa that focussed on development. He also took the senior rugby 1st XII to compete at the Rosslyn Park National Sevens. He has run the Bradford Grammar School cricket 2nd XI and accompanied the recent senior cricket tour to the West Indies. Ian also assists with cross-country.

Ian has managed the Bronze Duke of Edinburgh's Award at both Ripon Grammar School and Bradford Grammar School and delivers Gold Award training. Outside of work Ian enjoys travelling, walking, camping and cricket. He lived in Hong Kong for eight years, and is pleased to return to living in Asia with his wife Emily, also a teacher at Dulwich College (Singapore) and their sons.
