After graduating in 2009, Sam began his teacher training and was offered a position on a Graduate Teacher Programme. After completing this and his NQT year at Holy Family Catholic Primary School in Year 4, he relocated to Derbyshire and worked across Key Stage 2 for the past three years at Ash Grove Academy. During this time Sam was awarded a Teaching and Learning Responsibility for setting up an Enrichment Programme and subsequently was made a Specialist Leader of Education for Innovation.
Outside of school, Sam loves playing and watching sport, with his biggest passion being football. He is an avid Tottenham Hotspur fan. Along with his wife, a teacher in DUCKS, he has recently discovered a love of travelling and experiencing new cultures.
