Sarah completed a Bachelor of Education Degree from the Queensland University of Technology in 1999. She spent two years teaching at John Paul College in Queensland before moving to the UK for eight years.
Sarah taught from year two through to year five at The Orion Primary School in London. There Sarah became the Head of Key Stage One and part of the Senior Leadership Team and acting Deputy Head. She moved to Singapore with her family in 2010 and taught part-time and pursued her passion for children's literature. She published three picture books and traveled widely as a visiting author and ran creative writing workshops in schools and preschools in Singapore.
She joined Dulwich College (Singapore) in August 2015 as a year 2 teacher. In August 2016 she became the teacher librarian in the Junior School and is studying a masters degree in teacher librarianship. Sarah still is very involved in the Singapore writing community and is on the committee for the Asian Festival of Children's Content (AFCC).
