Relevant Experience

Ashling joined Dulwich College (Singapore) in April 2025. Originally from Dublin, Ireland, she began her teaching career 10 years ago after graduating from Trinity College, Dublin. She spent her first two years teaching across two key stages in a primary school in Dublin before moving to Dubai, where she worked for four years across the Early Years and Key Stage 1.

As a result of her time spent in the Early Years, Ashling is passionate about child-led learning, a philosophy that has shaped her teaching approach. She enjoys fostering independence in her students and creating engaging learning environments. While working at Nord Anglia in Dubai, she eagerly embraced the opportunity to transfer to its sister school, Dover Court International School, in Singapore. In 2021, Ashling joined North London Collegiate School as a Key Stage 2 Teacher, bringing enthusiasm and dedication to the role. She quickly adapted to the school’s high academic standards and dynamic learning environment, building strong relationships with students and colleagues. Her commitment to engaging, student-centered teaching helped foster curiosity and confidence in her pupils.

Outside the classroom, Ashling has a keen interest in sports, particularly tennis and hockey. However, her greatest passion is musical theatre, which she has loved since she began performing at the age of three. She enjoys sharing this enthusiasm with her students. She also loves travelling, reading, and meeting new people.
