 Relevant Experience

Deacon joined Dulwich College (Singapore) in August 2021. He began his teaching career in Hong Kong and continued it in New Zealand at St Andrews College, Christchurch. He had roles of the head of Rugby, mountain biking, senior boarding tutor, senior athletes mentorship programme and head of a sporting house.  Deacon is passionate about students’ holistic wellbeing and the benefits of physical and mental wellbeing for a more balanced student.

Deacon is a keen sportsman, having played Internationally for both Fiji and the Maori All Blacks. He has been a professional athlete for over a decade including captaining Fiji in the Rugby World Cup. Deacon now enjoys the outdoors and enjoys mountain biking, golf, Waka Ama and anything to do with the outdoors.
