Relevant Experience
Fiona began her teaching career in multicultural schools in Bradford before moving to Gran Canaria, Spain. She spent 20 years teaching in various schools on the island whilst also bringing up a family of three children. Her passion for books, and love of reading and storytelling, motivated her to take up school librarianship and complete an MA in Information and Library studies. She strongly believes that the library should be the heart of the school and is dedicated to making it an exciting space and resource environment for students, teachers and parents.
Fiona is currently working as the DUCKS/Junior School Librarian at Dulwich College Suzhou, China. She enjoys finding out about Chinese culture and customs through exploring different corners of the city and the country at large. Her pastimes include knitting, jogging, hiking and of course reading!
