Relevant Experience

Helen is an experienced educator with an impressive 20-year tenure in a mixture of primary schools across the United Kingdom and the Middle East, ranging from class teacher, head of year and most recently Deputy Head and Head of Pre-Prep. Throughout her career, she has taught pupils ranging from Nursery to Year 6, demonstrating her versatility and adaptability in catering to different age groups.

 

In addition to her extensive teaching experience, Helen has also played an active role within the education community. She has been a valued advisor for the Independent Association of Prep Schools- contributing her expertise and insights to the advancement of Pre-Prep and Early Years education

 

One of Helen’s notable roles in her teaching journey has been as a SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator). In this position, she has been instrumental in identifying and supporting pupils with diverse learning needs, ensuring they receive the necessary resources and accommodations to thrive academically and socially.

 

Helen is highly regarded by colleagues, pupils, and parents alike for her dedication, passion, and commitment to fostering a positive learning environment. Her wealth of experience, coupled with her expertise in Early Years Foundation, Special Education Needs and Primary Education, make her an invaluable asset to Dulwich Singapore.

 

Outside of her education, Helen has a fulfilling personal life. Her and her husband Nick are proud parents of two children, Freddie and Tilly. The Fawcett family has a deep love for sports and competitions. Weekends are often spent cheering on someone participating in family-friendly sporting events. Whether it's football, netball, gymnastics or running.

 

In addition to their love for sports, the Fawcett family also enjoys exploring new horizons and experiencing the world. Helen and her family try to immerse themselves in different cultures, try new cuisines, and creating lasting memories.
