Jacqueline Instone
Junior School Teacher (Year 5D)
Qualifications
- Postgraduate Certificate in Education, St Mary's University, Twickenham, UK
- Bachelor of Civil Engineering, University Tenaga Nasional, Malaysia
Relevant Experience
Jacqueline joined Dulwich College (Singapore) in August 2022. Originally, she began her teaching career in an international school in Malaysia, where she found her passion for teaching and learning. This was followed by an inner-city, culturally diverse school in Southampton (UK) for a few years and then, more recently, a new British international school in Singapore. Her education philosophy is very much focused on fostering curiosity and independent learning skills, by providing a caring learning environment which engages students in exciting educational opportunities, often with a sustainability focus.
Prior to her teaching career, Jacqueline worked for many years in the engineering industry, specialising in railway design. Her passion to encourage children in learning scientific and mathematics concepts and skills at an early age stems from this.
Beyond the classroom Jacqueline is a keen reader, enjoys listening to live music concerts, has a passion for travelling, and takes time to go walking in the outdoors with her family.
