Relevant Experience

James joined Dulwich College (Singapore) in August 2025. He began his career teaching at girls’ school in Hertfordshire before moving to a boys’ school in North London, where he has taught for the last four years. James has taught across Key Stage 2 (most recently as a Year 6 teacher) and held a range of leadership roles, including Housemaster, Head of Religious Studies, and Link Governor for Safeguarding at a London senior school.

James is passionate about nurturing pupil wellbeing and creating inclusive environments where every child can flourish. He has a particular interest in oral literacy and curriculum innovation, with his recent master’s research focused on professional development and evidence-informed teaching.

Outside the classroom, James enjoys travelling, hiking, and cycling. He spends his weekends exploring new places and immersing himself in local cultures.
