Relevant Experience
Jane joined Dulwich College (Singapore) in August 2023. She began her teaching career in 2001 in an Outstanding comprehensive school in Cornwall, UK, where she taught English and held leadership roles, such as Head of Citizenship and Deputy Head of English. Here her passion for teaching and learning - especially for developing students’ learning experiences in and out of the classroom – began, from student led fashion shows, community literature festivals, to debate team trips to the Houses of Parliament.
With a decade of UK experience, Jane moved into International teaching, starting in Dubai, then Prague, followed by Shanghai and finally Singapore. During these years, as well as teaching KS3 English, she taught the IB Diploma English courses, and IGCSE English Language and Literature. Her positions have included Head of English and Deputy Head of Senior school, in which she was Teaching and Learning Lead, Examinations Officer, Pastoral Lead for KS4, as well as Head of House.
Jane has two children, both studying at Dulwich College (Singapore). She enjoys reading, painting, drawing and interior design, as well as travelling with her family.
