Relevant Experience
Katie joined Dulwich College (Singapore) in August 2019. She embarked on a career in teaching five years ago, having previously worked professionally as both a contemporary dancer and in marketing and communications for the London Jazz Festival. Since gaining Qualified Teacher Status, Katie has worked in a large, vibrant, multicultural primary school in North London, where the majority of children speak English as an additional language. Katie has a wealth of experience working across Key Stage 2, teaching in Years 3, 5 and 6. Passionate about the arts and teeming with creativity, Katie spent the last 3 years as a Leader of Learning on her school’s Curriculum Team, where she was responsible for the whole-school delivery of the art and design curriculum.
Outside of the classroom, as well as engaging in her love of art (by catching current exhibitions, or watching a theatre performance) Katie is a sports enthusiast and enjoys running, swimming and yoga. She is also an avid scuba diver, having completed her Dive Master Certificate back in 2013. Katie is a keen adventurer, who wholeheartedly loves exploring new places and immersing herself in new cities and cultures.
