·       Bachelor of Science (First Class Honours) in Mathematics and its Applications, Cardiff University, UK

·       Postgraduate Certificate in Education (Secondary Mathematics) University of Bath, UK

Relevant Experience

Laura joined Dulwich College (Singapore) in August 2020. She embarked on her first international teaching experience in 2018 as a Teacher of IB MYP/DP Mathematics and Year 11 Level Coordinator at Chatsworth International School, Singapore. Prior to this she was the founding Head of Mathematics at The Fulham Boys School, UK, leading the development of a learner-centred Mathematics curriculum.

 

In addition to establishing the first Mathematics department at The Fulham Boys School, Laura has held roles of responsibility as Deputy Director of Year 10 Studies, Assistant Head of Personal Social Citizenship Education, Lead Practitioner for Central South Consortium in Wales and interned as an Assistant Transport Planner with a Civil Engineering company. She has over 9 years of experience teaching Mathematics to Years 7–13 as part of the UK, GCSE, A-Level and IB curriculums.

 

Outside of the classroom Laura is incredibly passionate about history, animals, travel, cooking and hiking. She loves spending her weekend exploring Singapore’s rich history, reading dystopian novels and getting lost in the jungle reserves.
