Relevant Experience
Mikami joined Dulwich College (Singapore) in August 2022. She is an experienced IB PYP, MYP, DP and IGCSE Mandarin teacher. Having taught overseas in Hong Kong (China), Australia, Netherlands and Singapore, she has extensive knowledge and experience of teaching students from a variety of cultures.
Mikami taught Mandarin at Sha Tin College (ESF,) and worked as Guest Lecturer at The Education University of Hong Kong before she joined ISS International School in Singapore. She created a positive, stimulating and inclusive language learning environment by implementing differentiated learning activities and engaging language activities to fulfil students’ needs. She taught Mandarin through varied language activities and adopted a concept-based learning pedagogy, which helped the students to thrive and reach their full potential.
Outside of school, Mikami enjoys travelling, hiking, playing tennis and playing with her adorable cat.
