University Offers for 2023
Having witnessed our first cohort of graduating students in 2020, who joined the College in Year 8 when it first opened in 2014, it is always with great pride that we see the offers come flooding in at this time of year for places at leading universities around the world. This year is no exception. Within the UK, we already have three offers for Cambridge and one for Oxford and offers from 23 out of the 24 Russell Group universities (90 offers to date) and other top institutions. Spread across the UK, offers cover universities in London (including Imperial, King’s College, UCL, Queen Mary, SOAS and Royal Holloway); the ‘Red Brick’ universities in the Midlands and the North of England (Birmingham, Bristol, Leeds, Liverpool, Manchester, Sheffield); Edinburgh, Glasgow and Aberdeen in Scotland; Cardiff in Wales; Queen's University Belfast in Northern Ireland and many other excellent seats of learning too numerous to mention, but including Durham, Exeter, York, Newcastle, Nottingham, Warwick, Southampton and University of Bath.
Beyond the UK, North America continues to be a popular destination for our students, including at prestigious Ivy League colleges. Offers for places in 2023 in the US include Cornell University; Barnard College – Columbia University; Boston University; Baylor University; Northeastern University; University of Southern California; Notre Dame University; Purdue University – Krannert School of Management; the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill; UMass Amherst; Penn State; Indiana University Bloomington and Villanova University. In Canada, offers include University of British Columbia; McGill and Queen's University.
Offers cover a very broad range of programmes with everything from Medicine, Engineering, Law, History, Psychology, Philosophy, Politics and Economics to International Relations, Business Studies, Sociology, Urban Planning, Global Sustainable Development and Environmental Science. In addition, our provision of the Ignite Exceptional Performance Development Programme for Sport, Music and Performing Arts, has started to pay dividends for students who want to turn their passion into a career, with a host of offers from leading institutions in these fields. This will be further strengthened by the introduction of the IB Careers-related Programme.
In the US, such offers include Carnegie Mellon University – Tepper School of Business (football student athlete); Ursinus College – Liberal Arts and Sciences (gymnastics student athlete with scholarship); Berklee College of Music; California College of the Arts – Fashion Design; Michigan State University – Bachelor of Fine Arts Acting for Stage, Screen and New Media (with scholarship). In the UK, such offers include the University of West London – Applied Theatre, Acting and Devising; University for the Creative Arts – Music Business & Management, Fashion Image & Styling, Film & Screen Studies; Bath Spa University – Film, Television and Digital Production; Coventry University – Animation; Manchester School of Architecture, Leeds Arts University and University of Hull – Sports Coaching and Performance Science.
In Europe, two of our students will be cooking up a storm and learning how to deliver world class customer experience with offers from the prestigious École Ducasse – Culinary Arts in Paris, France and Ecole Hôtelière de Lausanne (EHL) – International Hospitality Management in Switzerland, with another student studying Business and Management at IE University in Spain.
With plenty more offers still to be released over the next few months, including from universities in Asia, our students should be enormously proud of their success. Offers to date currently span six countries with diverse and dynamic career fields ranging from Animation, Architecture, Fashion Communication & Styling, Film, Television & Digital Production through to Aeronautical Engineering, Computer Science, Political Science, Environmental Geoscience, and Global Development with Sustainability.
