Relevant Experience
Ellie took a university placement at a London inner city primary school and when they offered her a job as Reception teacher she threw herself wholeheartedly into the challenge and stayed for three years. The school was a multi-faith, multi-cultural environment where the children spoke over fifty languages and diversity was celebrated. Following this, her next teaching position was as a Reception teacher and Head of Early Years at an independent girls' school in South West London, where she stayed for a further three years. Ellie loves travelling and learning about different cultures and recently spent her school holidays working as a volunteer in the Reception class of a school in Zimbabwe.
In her free time, Ellie is a keen tennis player and enjoys keeping fit. She has completed a number of half-marathons for various charities and took part in the London Marathon. My most recent challenge has been climbing Mount Kinabalu in Borneo.
