Relevant Experience

Carmen joined Dulwich College (Singapore) in August 2021. She completed her Postgraduate Certificate in Education in Manchester, before starting her qualified teaching journey in an inclusive, BSO Outstanding, British International School in Bangkok, Thailand. Carmen has gained a wealth of knowledge and experience of teaching within Key Stage 1 over the past couple of years.

Carmen was born in Oman and has spent most of her life in Manchester. The past couple of years she has been living and working in Thailand, where she has completed her Newly Qualified Teacher Status, introduced Greg Bottrill’s Drawing Club to Key Stage 1 and become part of the English Subject Leadership Team. Carmen has a deep passion for education and believes whole heartedly in child centred learning. This passion for education brought her to Singapore where she can utilise her teaching skills, further her experience and strengthen her own pedagogy.

Carmen is most interested in reading, travelling and scuba diving. She is particularly excited about exploring within Singapore, and embracing new cultures.
