What is your favourite/ are some of your favourite memories of working at DCSG?
Some of my favourite memories of my time working at Dulwich College (Singapore) would have to be the weeks and months around the time of opening in August 2014. Getting the campus up and running and the staff in place for the students to arrive on the first day took a huge effort, and everyone pulled together (with a lot of blood, sweat and tears) to make it a success.
Why is Dulwich College (Singapore) special to you?
I have loved being a part of the College’s growth and success, and working somewhere with such amazing staff, who are so dedicated and passionate about the College and about providing the students with amazing opportunities and experiences. My two daughters were with the College from the opening day, so experiencing Dulwich as a parent, and seeing how happy and inspired they have been also makes DCSG extra special to us as a family.
What are your hopes and aspirations for the school's future as it enters its second decade?
I know that Dulwich will continue to provide wonderful and diverse opportunities for its students, and my hope for the College’s future is that we continue to encourage our students to live out the Dulwich values, and to prepare to ‘Live Worldwise’ beyond their time with us.
In what ways have you seen the student’s and alumni's lives positively impacted by their experiences at the school? Are there any specific success stories that come to mind?
Speaking from my own experience with my daughters, I feel they have been part of a school they can feel very proud of. They have had such wonderful experiences across sport and the performing arts, and unforgettable trips to Dulwich Colleges in China, Seoul and Yangon to represent the College.
Looking back, what does this 10-year milestone mean to you personally, and how do you envision your continued involvement in the school's future?
Personally, it is a great point to reflect on all that we have achieved as a College and to take some pride in having played a small part in its achievements. Some Champagne is definitely in order!
Is there a message or reflection you'd like to share with the school's students and their families as part of this celebration?
I feel very thankful and privileged to have been involved with the College for 10 years as a parent and a member of the founding staff. It really is a special community to be a part of.
