Why did you choose DCSG back in 2014?
We chose Dulwich College (Singapore), for our daughters, Tara (Y11) and Maira (Y4), because of its proven success in creating an inclusive and thriving community for students from various backgrounds. The compelling leadership and track record of Nick Magnus in other Dulwich and international schools significantly influenced our decision. Additionally, the College’s holistic approach to education, emphasising not just academics but also sports, music, and art, seemed ideal for nurturing young, bright minds into well-rounded individuals.
In what way has DCSG impacted your family over the years?
As a family of engineer parents, our experience with DCSG has been transformative. The school's focus on the arts, sports, and music has greatly broadened our perspective on child development. Additionally, the diverse Dulwich community, comprising families from all over the world, has offered us invaluable opportunities to connect with parents from various cultures and backgrounds. This multicultural exposure has enriched our family life in numerous ways.
What is your proudest moment at DCSG?
Our proudest moment at the College was witnessing Tara receive an award at the Dulwich Oscars. It was not only a proud moment for her but also a validation of the nurturing and encouraging environment provided by the school.
What makes Dulwich special to you?
Dulwich stands out to us for its commitment to developing global citizens with well-rounded backgrounds. The community's focus on holistic development, integrating academic, cultural and social growth, makes Dulwich a special place for our family. The sense of community at DCSG is strong, marked by deep connections with diverse families, fostering a supportive and inclusive environment for everyone.
